Alex Tan is UCSI Swimming Academy’s head coach, and has been under UCSI Group for 10 years, possessing more than 10 years of experience in teaching and coaching swimming. Having water safety, self-survival, and life-saving as his core objectives in setting up the UCSI Swimming Academy, he developed the swimming curriculum and syllabus based on these core objectives. He ensures all UCSI Swimming Academy teachers and coaches are well-trained to their highest standards. He is the swimming teacher and coach trainer for UCSI Swimming Academy, a certified swimming teacher under MSTA (Malaysia Swimming Teacher Association), a certified international life guard and life guard trainer under LSSM (Life Saving Society Malaysia).
Alex Tan is spear-heading UCSI Swimming Academy’s operations in terms of teaching quality, continual improvement of its syllabus, swimming teachers and coach training, life guard training, pool maintenance, pool water quality, and overlooking the marketing and finance performances.
